If anyone ever deserved a side eye and a bitch please, its the media! I’ve watched 5 videos from the show in Perth Australia and every one of them shows Britney full of energy and a crowd who is craaazy for her.
What is all this nonsense about fans walking out, storming out is how they put it, people up in arms over her horrid performance, lip syncing etc etc and then you see videos from the show and… well see for yourself.
You can hear the entire arena singing with her!
Like I said before they went searching for people who they could use to say it was horrible. People who prob weren’t even fans to begin with – plus its all exaggerations anyways! People love to drag her down! One or two people all of a sudden became everyone in the medias eyes.
the media looks for any little morsal to cling to to make her look bad. What is really sad is that mainstream believes it. Only Brit fans get to the truth and the other 200 million people really think this is the way it is.

And people say she’s sick of being a pop star.. how could you get sick of a crowd like that singing along with you? Must be amaaaazing.
Dont take this the wrong way, but maybe Britney will take this as a hint. Britney was once the QUEEN of performances (lipsynched of course, the get hell off it Oz) but this Circus tour really didnt’t show it. She never really hit her old stride. And I hate to bring in the ‘other woman’ but Lady Gaga’s tour is starting, and I can see the headline now “LADY GAGA’S TOUR STOMPS ON BRITNEY’S CIRCUS’

It won’t happen… People have an emotional connection with her.
She could literally sit down and lyp sync for 2 hours and people would still come to see her.
The tour is very impressive/entertaining as it is and I think people needs to stop acting like such drama queen because we’re lucky she’s still alive and kicking today.
If by the next era, she’s not 100% back in the game then you’ll be allowed to start bitching.
PS/ I saw Haga’s performance and I was disgusted.
And for the whole “Beyonce sings/dances at the same time” delusion.
It’s all media/fan propaganda because she uses a lot of pre-recorded material.

Britney sings to a prerecorded track just as Beyonce does. It’s not the same track as the CD. Lip-synching is done by EVERY artist. The King of Pop himself lip-synched at times in his career.
On Christina Aguilera’s B2B tour, the high E note in “Candyman” was prerecorded due to obvious reasons, she could never pull that note off while moving around so much.
I love that we Britney fans have so much confidence in that they will always stick by Britney even if she is sitting on a log singing. But the fact is, people have ALREADY started tweeting and on blogs that “Gaga will be Britney’s tour deluxe edition with the live singing” or “Gaga’s tour will be everything Britney’s wasnt”
We don’t have to wait until the next era. The next era isn’t important. NOW, the present is what is important – and Britney’s rival’s are only going to get better. C’mon guys, be REAL. We ALL know that Britney has been through so much, and her triumph is astounding. BUT – she needs to realize that she is competing with Beyonce and Gaga, and if she wants to remain ontop, she HAS to give us more of what we once loved. Let’s face it – if Britney’s Circus tour was her debut, and it was the first we had ever heard of Britney, she would not have lasted much longer than Jessica Simpson. But it was the amazing MTV performances, the Grammy’s, the videos, the tours, etcetc that made her the star. She needs to hit those roots again.

one thing i never get is why Britney fans care so much about who’s on top, and stuff like that, and has to bitch about other stars, because they are a “threat”. I do hope Britney will be better in the future, but if not, i will still like her, why should i care what others think. and as @BeStrongrBrit said, if this was her debut it would not be enough, we all know that, but we also know that people doesn’t like britney for her vocal abilities or song writing skills, we love her person, and entertaining performances. What she did earlier in her career is enough for me, i will always love those moments, and yes, what we ahve today is just a piece of what she used to be, but its better than nothing, and up til now she has just improved more and more,
I do agree with BeStrongBrit in that Britney has tough competition. But I honestly don’t care what anyone says. Britney has millions upon millions of fans. Who cares about Gaga.
I don’t buy that if this was Bit’s first tour it wouldn’t be enough. The Circus blows her 1st tour away. J Simp could not do a show like this if she tried. You mean to tell me a sold out world tour wouldn’t be enough for a new artist?

I understand what you’re saying.
BUT this era is coming to an end so expecting that she starts dancing like in 2003 and sing some of her song live NOW is ridiculous.
There still tons of things that are being worked out behing the scene and these things will probably be resolved by the next era so Brit can concentrates 100% on her career again.
The Circus was a very successful period for Brit (1 top 1, 1 top 5 and 1 top 20)), 3,5 millions albums sold and the highest female grossing tour of 2009 !
It rehabilitated Britney’s image and permitted her to be played by the radio like she has never been played since 2001.
Beyonce and GaGa are currently more successful than Britney because they work 10 times harder than her and oversaturates the media with their videos, performances, double singles, rereleases. Plus Beyonce has been solo for only 6 years and Gaga is a newcomer.
But none of them was one of the biggest pop phenomenon of the late 90’s.
None of them will be able to taste Britney’s success… NEVER.
If you look back at Britney’s competition in the 90’s, she’s probably the only one who kept on being consistently very successful (despite being hailed as a one hit wonder when she released her first single).
PS/ Beyonce’s fan are in denial. They think Beyonce never lip sync because she can “dance/sing at the same time” while she doesn’t.
Her prerecording are so subtle and she’s so good at lipping that only a few people see what’s truly happening. So yeah I said it, she’s a fucking liar.

I’m not saying that Gaga is better than Britney. She is no where near Britney’s stage talent. And yes, I AM serious. Gaga is a gimmick that the whole world is hanging on too. And, I think you need to step outside the Britney blubble and realize that a bleeding eyeball is clearly working for her. To us Britney fans, we see the costumes and the fake blood as a pathetic attempt, but the rest of world does not. She is something different, and we can’t just pretend for Britney’s sake that everyone is Britney fans and not Lady Gaga fans.
Of course a sold-out world tour is enough for an artist. But a sold out tour in which an artist actually sings live through the whole thing, is gonna be enough to send Gaga scaling over Britney. Britney’s DWAD tour and Onyx Hotel tour was visual spectacle, the most astonishing choreography we ever saw. Those tours were in incredible. The Circus tour yes was VERY visually appealing, but the star of the Circus fell somewhat short in what she delivered. Granted, she had two children, went through a massive breakdown.
So, QT, I’ll take my Gaga love (which is very little) and shove it, sure. But I’ll refer to this post when the headlines are showing exactly what I have just said.

The set was awful, most of the choreography was uninspired save from some performance (Overprotected, Boys and MATM) and Britney was sick of it all.
DWAD was very cool but IMO The Circus Tour is WAY better than the Onyx.
And don’t underestimate people, we’re not the only one who sees trough Gaga’s sham. And even if she’s successful then good for her.
It doesn’t affect Britney in any way, it will not stop her from gaining new fans, making better albums and continue to go on MASSIVE world tour.

We are debating a very hot topic. I know just yesterday twitter was on fire with Lady Gaga trending topics and every search I did came back with people saying she was going to replace Britney and that Britney was barely there in the Circus and that the credit goes to her dancers for making her look good etc etc. It’s a real discussion happening whether we agree or not.
I THINK GAGa is a flash in the pan or a more Madonna Esque performer. I don’t even like that people are comparing her to Brit. Why, because they’re both young? I never saw them compare Beyonce to Brit or Lady G to Xtina. Well, they did for a short time b/c the resemble each other but Brit has no GAGA about her at all and will always be the first pop princess on the scene, and that will never change no matter how many Gagas come along.
Me personally find nothing appealing about Gaga. She is a gimmick who uses the fact that she CAN write music, to act like she is some amazing entertainer the world has never seen. Brit plays piano too and writes music, she just doesn’t go on and on about it.
And finally, we all have to concede that we as fans are just happy Britney is alive and well and even touring after the breakdown in 08. Hell, we are lucky she even started touring again- I didn’t think it was possible- not yet anyway, but she did it and I’m grateful for her triumphs everyday after what she went through. NO ONE will ever be as delightful, fragile and endearing as Britney.

Considering TSCBS doesn’t really have a set, and you thought it was WAY better than Onyx, then the set really isn’t that important. Her choreography is still amazing regardless of the fact that it was recycled from her last tour. Those were the signature moves to her songs, of course she would keep them.
You’re right, I can’t assume EVERYONE is oblivous to the Gaga gimmick. But, there’s enough people that don’t that still makes what I said right. Britney will always gain new fans, have great albums. This isn’t about her future albums. This is about her tour and the reason why alledly people walked out. The reason I am saying this is because Twitter was littered with Gaga TT’s, and people expressing that Britney’s tour would still be the same even if she wasn’t present.
So, if you want to continue debating I’m more than willing.
I can take Brit heat from other people because I know why I love her- and no one will change my opinion so when someone has an intelligent debate, I enjoy it- I don’t get offended.
Even Kathy Griffin was jabbing at Brit during her latest stand up and said
“Britney just walks on stage hits play and that’s how she performs, but I don’t care, I love her, I love her”.
That’s exactly how tons of people feel- thus the reason millions pay money just to be in the same room with her- because they love her and connect with her deeply. That’s rare.
I love her to pieces- this we know, but I am not blind to the fact that she isn’t there 100% moves wise and passion. She is not the same person who performed in 04- she has issues and that’s just a fact. Why do you think she doesn’t do interviews or barely speaks? She is coming back from major issues and it takes time, and unfortunately it is going to be a lifetime battle.
I believe with all my soul she had a true mental breakdown and not just over stressed. She has depression and mental illness in her family tree quite strongly and that’s why I am so proud of all shes done despite her struggles. That makes her even more lovable.
For me, doesn’t matter if she is really singing or not… If she is dancing a lot or just walking around the stage… I love Britney, and that’s all.
If ONE person don’t like what she does, the problem is of who?
People has their opinion, I just have to respect them.

The interludes are way better than those from the Onyx (Break The Ice, Gimme More, Sweet Dreams etc). And as far as visual performance goes Get Naked,Touch Of My Hand, Piece Of Me, Everytime and Ooh Ooh Baby all over those from The Onyx Hotel Tour IMO.

Almost all the dates were sold out. No other female except Madonna can do that today.

You’re arguing and there will never be an outcome. You guys are BOTH right. I think you each have valid points, but it’s useless to debate over it.
I just think fans want to see the passion in her work. Maybe she’s ready for a long break or maybe she’ll keep chugging along. But I would think and hope she’s not delusional about her current performing abilities.
