One of my favorite artists (David Gilmore) and the guy behind my site logo of none other than dollface herself, just created some new Britney art and we are in love!!!
He is doing some promo pieces for a local event surrounding pop culture and he featured Brit Brit!
If you haven’t seen his work, you are missing out on tons of pop culture. He’s drawn everybody I can think of.

this is mean spirited. besides gaga’s nose does not look like that. since when does she have a barbie nose. you can clearly tell who this person likes and who this person likes making fun of. there is a difference.

The way they portray Britney is awful, but that art itself is amazing.
I love it because its art and you cant deny that she is often seen with ciggys and fraps. She gives artists a lot to work with but I can tell you, it is not mean spirited, he loves Brit.
I first discovered Brit art through him and just fell in love. I’d have all these in my house if I could, and I love her. I can laugh at the pop culture of this, as do many.
i think she would feel ashamed and embarrassed by this, she would not laugh at this at all. maybe if the rest of the characters were shown with flaws, like lady gaga and her dick bulge but this? i guess we’re all back to having a laugh at dumb britney spears again. cheers.
well except Britney really does eat cheetos, smoke and drink fraps. I havent really seen Lady Gagas dick. Lighten up, its art.
I really love his drawings they are some of the most amazing ive ever seen. I dont get offended with people drawing her because she is a pop icon and she gets a lot of attention. I love how he also drew madonna and pink.
David is amazing! I’ve been following him for a while now. His Britney illustrations are tight.

that’s why she was drawn so positively and her nose was downsized.
and not the other and that’s fine but don’t try and pass off humiliating art as something she should find funny or joy in or that everyone will take to. so she’s a simple girl who likes fraps and cigs, i do too and so do countless others but they aren’t laughed at for it.

I added some of the others he has spoofed. He has only drawn Lady Gaga one time and the reason he did so in a positive light was because she had spoke out on issues very dear to him and he was giving her kudos for that particular event.
He’s been in many publications and his art is seen worldwide.
Take it for what’s worth. It’s just a picture. Britney doesn’t look like that, so who the fuck cares?
I love your site logo because it captures Britney’s eyes and lost look well…but I agree with pussy poppin’ these pics are sort of exaggerated in a mean spirited way.
I’m not trying to insinuate that he doesn’t like Britney, or doesn’t understand her, because obviously I don’t know if that’s true…but in a comparative perspective you can sort of just tell.

I *personally* don’t find them endearing, but art is all about interpretation as Britney said in “Chaotic” so I respect that others may interpret it different from me.
this is my last comment on this topic because i don’t want to cause more drama and i do like posting here and i can tell pb wants me to stfu lol. i was specifically talking about the promo shots for this little function not his entire site. i’ve seen his spoofs on the real housewives of atlanta. i see the spoof on another trainwreck amy winehouse, and wow a pregnant belly on xtina while she toured and was pregnant. that’s not really humiliating.
so basically he spoofs on trainwrecks, reality tv stars, and britney spears who may or may not be a current trainwreck. yet all of the artists he clearly admires (lady gaga) are drawn positively and even have their flaws removed, their is no ribbing with them. which is fine again but don’t try and pass it off as some unbiased piece of work.
this is the same guy who was spoofing her during her meltdown, i remember it well and maybe she deserved it then (altho not really she was having a mental breakdown) and i’m not saying she’s off limits or is above being ribbed. however this just goes back to the sense ruminating within the media and public that britney spears is just some cartoon like character, even tmz referred to her as america’s punching bag, devoid of any respect and that we can all take a laugh at. lololol dumb britney spears loves her cigs and fraps and cheetos even though she hasn’t been spotted with them in like five years.

I get what you are saying, I do. But I guess from my perspective since I fell in love with her during the 06-08 period and I’m a huge pop culture art fan and I adore spoofs and things like that, I don’t take it badly.
Remember the guy who did the spoof video of her on Gimme more pills? I laughed at that for months even though I love her and thought it was mean. I just really love anything wacky or spoofy, but those that I feel are truly mean with nothing funny in them, I never post. I’ve seen tons of art and videos of her that I’ve never posted because the meaning felt degrading. I guess what I’m saying is I know where David is coming from with this, we’ve discussed her many times, email etc and he find her just as lovable as we do.
Maybe its just me. Maybe I’m a different type of fan that finds those things funny but also love her to death, and believe me- my britaloony comes out when I feel like someone is attacking her, but I just never felt that way with any of David’s drawings.

I think you’re missing the point QT. He doodles pop culture meaning he doodles whats gossipy, not because he likes or dislikes anyone. The whole point of the art is to expand on the gossip surrounding that person as its seen in pop culture. Thats all it is.

Ok so this is why I don’t like it –
1. She clearly looks the worst out of everyone.
2. Its a stereotype that really she no longer has – the running around smoking and drinking nothing but fraps and eating nothing but cheetos. I haven’t seen any of this in a long time. Hello its not 2007.
3. ** AND MOST important ** – by putting stuff like this out it gives people who don’t like her more ammo to run there mouth and make fun. Listen I have followed Britney her whole career – not just when she had her breakdown and afterwards ( and like many so called fans who dropped her like a bad habit during the breakdown I never did and I got alot of shit for that ! i stayed true the whole time and still proclaimed how much I adored her ) . Hell I remember listening to Hit me baby on the radio for the first time when I was 17 and thinking wow who the hell is this , hell i even remember what i was doing at the time!! ( I was driving to Nyack , NY to go to the Palisades mall it was late afternoon hehehe ) So I think alot of people like me who saw her originally at her best ( when it was happening ) , then seeing her start to slip , taking her fall and then slowly try and recover ( which she is still doing ) things like this can make us all alittle sensitive. I think its just because we come from a different place. We remember the 18 year old Britney doing interviews with that sparkle in her eye and so on and to see how things have became its hard so its easy to be protective . Since I am only 2 years older then her i feel like I grew up right along side her and relate to alot of stuff in her life. I have never felt that way about an artist or there music , and thats how Britney captivates! ( thats why GAGA will never be her ) Now dont get me wrong I love the Dollface that is on the site ( so kudos for that ) , and im ok with her being poked at. But as PP said – shes up against a lot and to have her look the worst and think thats ok – well it just isnt.

But from what he had written I assume he just loves amy, gaga and is a praiser of Xtina talent, too.
