Britney Spears’ label recently announced that Spears will release her sixth studio album, “Circus,” on Dec. 2.
While some might consider the new work a marker of Spears’ improving health, some close to her fear that now that the worst seems to be over, she’s going to be treated as little more than a cash cow.
“Britney has been going to the studio ever since she got out of the hospital, but it was more a therapeutic exercise than anything,” says a source close to the Spears family. “The people who really care about her knew that even though she wants to be the pop star she used to be, it won’t be good for her. Even her label, Jive, understood that. It’s a little unsettling to us that they’d want her to get back to recording so fast.”
There’s also the question of how the album can be put together so quickly. One source close to Jive says that the swift turnaround won’t be an issue. “She’s not Paul Simon. As long as it’s produced well and has a good beat, she’ll have a hit,” says the source. “Really, the quicker we do it, the better it will be. You shouldn’t overthink some things.” -Msnbc
What does he mean she’s no Paul Simon. That’s a backhanded compliment, something for which, I know nothing about. But this article does touch on what I’ve been saying all along. She isn’t well yet and while it’s good to get her regimented, it may not be good for her mind to push her so hard so fast. What if it causes a relapse, the second she slows down and has time to think?
Mental illness is like a wild animal. It cannot be caged and forgotten about. You must treat the WHOLE Britney . Pushing her to events, in the studio, (dance and recording) and travel may cause her to crash and burn, which is what happened in the first place. If you remember, Britney toured like a machine for years and then just went mad.
She was so overworked and from such a young age that it permanently affected her just like it does MANY child stars. They often turn to drugs or alcohol to relieve the pressure. Britney has to fully come back mind wise and get used to her new medication levels and then slowly work her way into a healthy moderate lifestyle.
Prognosis depends on the disorder, the individual and numerous factors. Some disorders may be transient, while some may last a lifetime. Some disorders may be very limited in their functional effects, while others may involve substantial disability and support needs.
I don’t believe they have yet to determine how much Britney will recover, if fully. she may require lifelong medications to balance her mental illness. We must not forget, this wasn’t a “phase”, she is mentally ill, to what degree, only her family and doctors know.
Sometimes I’m so smart, yet crafty that I amaze even me. I’m really the whole package. Any man would be lucky to have me. Oh, one does. I’m off to remind him just how brilliant I am.
