WPXI reports that a tragic accident took place after the Circus Concert in Pittsburgh resulting in the death of a 9th grader.
LAUGHLINTOWN, Pa. — A boy from Somerset County was killed on Route 30 in Ligonier Township early Saturday morning.
John Blough, a freshman at North Star High School was with friends and parents. They were on their way home from the Britney Spears concert at Mellon Arena.
“I knew about the students going, they were so excited to go, but i didn’t think anything like this would befall them,” said Brittney Trout, a student at North Star.
Neither did most people in Boswell, Somerset County, who were still trying to grasp the fact that the freshman who was always smiling is gone.
The principal at North Star High School said Blough was a true leader in the freshman class and competed in wrestling and football.
One classmate said going to school on Monday won’t be easy.
“He was an easy going kid- really nice, really polite. Everybody liked him. He was just somebody everybody wanted to be around.”
We’re told one other student is being treated for injuries from the crash.
Counselors will be available at North Star High School Monday morning.

britney should do something.. send flowers, sympathize.. after all the family of the boy who perished were her fans.. so sad
That is so trajic PB. I wonder if she knows. That poor kid, man who would think they’d die the night they went to see her.
[...] did you see those twelve horsemen ride by too? It seems like the end is nigh in Britneyverse. A teen died in a car accident on the way home the Pittsburgh stop on the Circus [...]
Poor Britney? That’s all you people can say about this tragic accident? I happen to reside in this community and I am offended that this article is even on this website. No one should be pitying Britney Spears after a horrific accident such as this. Maybe we should be thinking about Johnny’s family and friends at a time like this rather than Britney Spears.
I think you are mistaking this existing blog for the recently added story about your friend. The blog poorbritney has always been here, the writer just happen to want to post the story of what happen to your friend to bring awareness to the tragedy. If you look at our comments, we did say its tragic and hoped Britney would send flowers.
i am one of johnnys close friends. if britney would send something as little as flowers, even a card, it would mean the world to all of us who went to her concert, it would mean the world to johnny too. i love ya johnny! i miss ya…
This is so tragic Andy and our hearts go out to all of you. It’s especially tragic that he was so young and what was supposed to be a great evening ended the way it did. Hopefully Britney’s team will hear of this and send their love.
It seems like there’s alot of injury’s of fans resulting from or after the concert…strange.
