Britney Spears unfortunately lost her Grammy last night to Lady Gaga for Best Dance Recording. Although I wanted Dollface to win because Womanizer was really deserving of the honor, I cant bitch too much that Gaga won.
As much as I may despise many aspects of Gaga like her constant monster act and stone face, sometimes British accent, the fact that she hangs out with society’s reject PeeRez, I can admit that her songs are great. There are days I cant get Poker Face or Paparazzi out of my head for hours on end.
I was also thrilled that Britney Spears EVEN attended. The chance to see her out and about doing anything other than being shuttled from location to location was a real treat. While Britney’s face and hair looked heavenly, her choice of wardrobe is burning up the web today, once again keeping the Living Legend in the headlines right along side all the Grammy winners simply because of what she wore.
Multiple blogs and news outlets are all asking what on earth Britney Spears was thinking wearing that black getup and most are calling her worst dressed for the night.
Gaga gets a pass on that because we expect her to dress like our electrical outlet.

I think I might be the only one that adored what she wore. I was shocked at first, but I grew to love it. She looked incredible to me.

I agree. As the night went on I liked it more and more. Especially when she was sitting. It looked very simple. I think if she would have less “going on” it would have worked, but the fishnets, lace trim, netting on the arms is probably what caused the clash.
it might have looked good in person rather than seeing it in photos.
i still think there’s more to her appearance than just being his arm candy for the night. her manager was there, unless he’s a babysitter/3rd wheel for the night why would he tag along if she was just there to hang out with jason? maybe there was some post grammy schmoozing, trying to get some more producers on board for her album or something else.
i can’t believe she would willingly spend an extra day away from her kids just to get dressed up to watch the show.
I figured it would be for something more too, but Larry goes to these type of things all the time. Britney is by far his most successful client, but he does do other things as well. So, it would be unheard of for him to go.
And maybe she just wanted to go out? She hasn’t done an event in ages. She went to the after party and got to live a little…

I actually like the idea, but she should have skipped the fishnets. There were prettier D&G coverups she could have worn that were in the same collection too. But I know she picked it out and liked it, so I’m happy to see her in it.
It is good to see her out and doing things. Gives me hope she’ll do more in the future.
why is it so hard to believe she just wanted to go the grammy’s? its the biggest award show in music. it was important for her to make an appearance, she probably wants to start going to more events.
To be honest i dont understand the way some of ya’ll reacted to brits appearance. It was the britney we all know and love. Has that leather outfit she wore way back not come flooding back for any of u?? She aint performing…aint presenting…and not winning..and u know brit wont attend a show unless shes stealing the spotlight somehow leaving a daring outfit her only option. And guess what…as PB pointed out in her post it worked!! Headlines and debate simply for what she wore. Another sparkly short mini dress wouldnt have made quite the impression. Just my 2 cents worth haha

The dress she wore to the Grammys was classic Britney. I don’t get why some fans seem to want her to still play it safe. They are the same fans who want her to be herself in her career and music. Makes no sense to me. If she wore something else everyone would forget it like the TCA dress.
Think about it. She didn’t do a red carpet. She didn’t probably even stay in her seat and she never was on camera, but she’s talked about the same as the people who performed (well in some cases a lot more) and won awards. She knows what she’s doing. I hope she was inspired to get back into the game for real.

The hair and makeup were right on , and I’m still out on if I liked the outfit. The thing is photos can be so deceiving. Sometimes something photographs horrible but looks great in person or vise versa. I wish I saw it on camera. Maybe I would love it more ?

my guess is if she loves jason she’d tag along even if she doesn’t feel like as jason will definitely go to support taylor swift. must be guarding him and doesn’t want to set him free dateless or someone might pick him up at the after grammy party
I actually like this outfit. Her makeup is flawless and she looks toned and fit. I’m with Diego — why didn’t they pan to her? Seriously!!!

Maybe she just wanted to go out & have fun. Brit never goes to these type of events these days. She didn’t spend a day away from the boys. She doesn’t get them everyday & didn’t have to leave town for the show. Also it was at night. They should’ve been in bed most of the time she was out anyways.
