Hadn’t heard one way or another that Britney Spears would be performing at this years Grammys in Los Angeles at the end of January but according to Wiki Britney Spears has been confirmed as a performer.
From the Grammy’s page about the upcoming event, they listed the following;
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 31, 2010. CBS will broadcast the event, which will take place again at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. A total of 109 awards will be presented at the Grammy Awards.[1] Neil Young will be honored as the 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year on January 29, two days prior to the Grammy telecast.
Beyoncé leads the nominees with 10 nominations. Other nominees include Taylor Swift with eight and Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, Kanye West with six nominations, and David Guetta, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga with five nominations. Colbie Caillat, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, T-Pain, and Keith Urban each received four nominations.

We know that WIKI is an open edit source so anyone could have contributed to this peice of information, so is it legimate and confirmed? We checked the Grammy’s facebook page as well and did find announcements about a few of the performers but did not see Britney on that list. Also checked Grammy.com and even searched for all things “Britney” but did not find any proof.
Would be exciting if it were true and she has been living in the gym!

That would be so awesome if she did perform , but I can see why her camp maybe wouldn’t want her to. Regardless of how great the performance was the critics will still knock her down. And that’s crap. So I bet that’s why we don’t see a lot of her at these things.

I have seen Britney performing at the Grammys hundred times. And I really loved it every time I watched it and in fact, I really hated when Christina got Best New Artist instead, because that year best new artist was Britney. But Britney doesn’t sing live anymore.
I also prefer MTV awards to the Grammys because performances are much better even though they don’t sing live.
And I love Britney for who she is. I don’t care she can’t sing.
