Britney Spears will be in court tomorrow.
If you recall, Britney Spears was set to be in court last week but instead of seeing her sitting before the judge regarding her conservatorship, we saw a smiling Britney Spears out shopping. If you’d believe the conspiracy theorists, Pepaw made sure Britney missed her court date and even forced that phony smile on her face while she was out buying expensive jewelry.
If you understand Britney like I think I understand Britney then you’d know that no one can force her to smile and play happy for the paparazzo unless she wants to. I guess a great way to measure these Free Britney theories is to judge and see for yourself.
Take Sam Lutfi for example. He currently has a restraining order against him and is not allowed to contact Britney at all, yet he retweeted a post made by one of Britney’s fan sites who both agree that Britney Spears is being held hostage.
Tomorrow is a big day in deed for Britney Spears but are any of us on the outside really in a position to claim she is being held against her will or wasn’t responsible for her own court appearance? Are any of us in a position to judge what the Commissioner, the doctors, and her family feel about Britney’s true state of mind?
If a person is indeed bipolar and dealing with mental issues that jeopardize her safety and sanity are we above questioning a team of doctors who have to sign sworn affidavits that she is or isn’t well?
I guess I could have questioned when my doctors told me I had cervical cancer but luckily I didn’t and they saved my life.
Do we really want to believe that a court appointed commissioner is in Pepaws back pocket and that together with the doctors and Andrew Wallet they are all conniving? Do we really think that her family is forcing her to perform for $$ when for 2 years they let her pave her own path before begging a court to help them save her life? Do any of us really want to see her sitting on a curb again balling her eyes out while the only people in her corner were Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib?
And finally I say let common sense prevail. The conspiracy theorists along with Sam Lutfi tweeting Courtney Love speaks volume to me. Yes, you read that right- these people actually believe Courtney is being blindsided by her family to remove Frances Bean from her care. I think I speak for all of us when I say Courtney’s actions caused the removal of her child, not a conspiracy from her daughters family.
Somehow these people remind me of the same ones that rail against the Government and think paying taxes is highway robbery.
Regardless of the outcome of Britney Spears conservatorship that none of us are in a position to judge- Good luck and happiness to Britney and her boys.

tmz made it perfectly clear that tomorrow’s meeting is simply a check up not a deciding factor on whether it ends or not. don’t these kids realize that she’s never going to be the britney she used to be, she’s not going to get her old body back, she’s not going to dance like she used to and do interviews. and judging from past actions she’s more likely to go the other way again and spiral if she stops taking her meds and or becomes involved with shady people again.

I think both sides are so exaggerated (obviously “Free Britney” is more of an extreme)
It would be awesome if eventually (sooner than later) Britney is at the place where she is no longer under the conservatorship but still has ties with the Team that brought her back to stability.
I personally feel that it doesn’t matter if the conservatorship lifts now…or in a two years, but if the doctors think that she needs the conservatorship for a few more years who am I to object? They’re obviously a ton on information that we don’t know, including her diagnosis. We don’t know whether she’s bipolar, schizophrenic…WE DON’T KNOW.
To Jordan and all the fans that are unhappy with what Britney is putting out now you do however have the right to object to purchasing her album or seeing her in concert! I mean hello!
I admit there are aspects of the whole Blackout era that I loved too. I loved her albums, I loved some of the quirky things she would say, and even though she didn’t say much I felt a deeper connection to her than I do with the Circus era. But I also remember the shitty boyfriends, the apparent drug and alcohol abuse, the tears streaming down her eyes, the public bickering, the head shaving…and it would be ridiculous to even think it was worth it.

I agree that she’s not ever going to be the same Britney she used to be. But I agree with Joanna that you’re being to negative. Her body imo is BEAUTIFUL, she has a passion for dancing so it’s something she can work on, and I hope down the road she will be able to do fun interviews again – The interviews are the part I miss the most, because without them I wouldn’t have fell in love with her.

I prefer to just wait for the courts and doctors to be the judge of her status, but I can say this. If she were completely improved we’d all be seeing it by now but she still seems a bit shattered and I don’t think its because she feels suffocated. She can’t do anything? She does everything she did pre-cship. At the time, when she was placed under it she wasn’t even “partying” anymore. A lot of people have an “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” attitude about the conservatorship. My problem with it is that it’s designed more like a punishment than a remedy.
But I agree with ribbontie for the most part. Jordan’s “Free Britney” crusade never appealed to me because of the way he went about it. I’ve come to believe he’s just a blithering idiot and have tuned him out altogether.
However…I do believe it’s healthy to question the conservatorship, as opposed to having blind faith in her team of doctors. Medical malpractice DOES exist, especially when high-profile celebrities are involved. This is Hollywood we’re talking about. Is it so far-fetched to think that perhaps some of this COULD be motivated by power and greed?

I think part of the reason the cship continues is because her family has good reason to fear for her with all these losers just waiting for the chance to get back in her life. they probably show all the evidence of the tweets and the fanatic fansite to the commisionar and have good reason to try to prolong protecting her. it will eventully have to end if shes mentally stable and that worries me for her. as far as bh ehh, hes just mad because her dad called him out and ruined what he thought was a good reputation. you dont see him suing her dad because its all true.
I work in the psychology industry and deal with multiple mental facilities and the ethics of psychology and patient rights, and I can tell you her father has no say of when the conservatorship ends. He’s the one put in charge of her well-being, not the one who makes the rules as to how long she remains under it.
A court approved medical team will be the ones to say whether Britney is fit or not. I don’t understand all the angst and anger by some fans that somehow her father is pulling the strings. He is her guardian not the maker of laws. Today’s court visit is just a check up of Britney’s well being. The judge wants to see how she is doing with her own eyes and that she is either improving or not improving.
I do not think we will see a significant change anytime soon based on how Britney still acts. She doesn’t appear to me as a woman who has recovered, but rather a person who only does well when she is being guided.

People are anxious and angsty because they want someone to blame for Britney not being what they want her to be. Jordan pretty much said what a lot of them believe, that she would be “old Britney” if not for Jamie. She would dance better, she would give better interviews, she would totally erase all her past issues if only Jamie wasn’t there holding her prisoner. Jordan’s gotten pretty good at manipulating the mindless idiots. Reasonable people know it’s not about money or power and if the court system of the State of California and a team of doctors don’t think she’s ready to be on her own, she’s obviously not ready.
And I don’t think we’ll see any changes at all. I just don’t understand what some people expect. She’s going to say she’s unhappy and the judge is going to become a FREE BRITNEY lunatic?
