In catching up on this weeks’ Harvey Levin TMZ videos (TMZ Live), I weeded through the ones I thought were very interesting. In particular, the one where Harvey says Jamie Spears thought Britney was going to die during 2007-2008. I thought that was kind of a striking admission in this video, because while I always thought it, hearing Harvey say Jamie did believe his daughter was going to die just brings back how bad it was.
I suppose that’s why it infuriates me so much when I hear flippant statements like “oh, she was just going through a phase- she didn’t need intervention’. I literally laid in bed at night blogging all those terrible days 24/7 waiting for the breaking news of her death. When I heard Anna Nicole died, my heart stopped because I was sure it was going to be Britney’s name I heard.
In one of the videos Harvey discusses in late December that he thinks the cship will be up by mid-time this year- so we may be seeing it lifted by April or May. I’m pretty sure the vibe I’m feeling and lots of you as well, is that we will see her “out from under” in a few months, if not sooner.
I just cross my nipples and pray she keeps it together and does well on her own. I would hate for her to come this far and go all the way back down again.
Harvey always has such an “I know something you don’t know” look on his face when he’s discussing her. I do believe he’s very fond of her. When you think about it, most everyone is. Most people are pulling for her and identify with her. It’s so much different than seeing Lindsay or Paris go through something like this. The feeling Britney evokes in people is truly incredible.
Britney does not like the conservatorship as far as Harvey’s concerned, yet she knows it’s in place to help her, and she realizes they are protecting her. Basically- its very complicated.

I think it goes without saying that we ALL thought Britney was going to die.
We all did to be honest hell even most of the major new papers and stations had her obituary ready.
You should go back and watch as many of these as you can, because as much as tmz annoys me sometimes. I truly believe after months of watch Harvey and mike talk about Britney they both genuinely wish the best for her.
that is why I cant understand when some people say she doesnt or didnt need the conservatorhip and that she’s just being milked like a cash cow. today I saw two or three more BH posts where he still disses her father and says the boyfriend, dad and all is a fasade. why can it seem so clear to the najority that she was near death but one of her own fan sites wants all the drama again. I know its probably because he wants fame for himself but its really obvious.
That was my fear 3 years ago. And it’s still my fear. Just because now she has a Cship doesn’t mean she’s ok. She seems to be “in control” but we don’t know about her personal life. Once she wins her “freedom” idk what’s gonna happen. It’s sad cuz I love her and I want good things in her life, but idk if she’s able to keep it together. 3 years ago we saw Britney being Britney, now we have Pepaw being Britney. It’s not her, and u can see in her face that she’s not happy bout it. She’s not happy but she understands that it’s all for her sake. I really want this Cship over. But I also want Britney to LEARN how to be Britney without losing it or letting people take advantage of her.

Agreed, she’s absolutely not ready if cship is lifted, just like what jordan from BH always bitching about. How come Britney can handle herself, just look at her now, she’s still a mess compared to the past time when everythings okay. I know cship is the best way for her to avoid anything that might ruin her life once again, i dont want to see that, thats why i always support the cship, but I also think at the same time that Britney is overlimited by the cship. Hell no idea, just hoping she’s gonna get better in time.

In Tony’s defense, he tries really hard to convey what he’s trying to say in English even tho its not his primary language. Sometimes it comes off odd but he loves Dollface, this I know. He’s very supportive of her when we chat whether here, facebook or twitter.
i dont agree with @tonymizer. i dont think britney is still a mess, i think that some fans cannot accept that she is a different britney than she was in 2003. she isnt going to be that person again, i fully support her moving in a different direction. while i dont think she is ready for the cship to be over, i do think that she is finally getting her chance to grow up. she deserves that.

but i agree with your comment too, you and miss b have brought up good points. i’ll be honest i don’t think she’s ready but i don’t think another year of conservatorship will make a difference. at this point she’s either learned or she hasn’t and once the conservatorship ends she’s going to do what she wants and see who she wants.
i think there are far too many people out there who want her to fail and will see to it that she does, see: paparazzi agencies, blog owners people like perez, sam, adnan. (i truly don’t think it should end until they have a major solution to those two because they are waiting to pounce) too many sketchy people in la la land for somebody like britney who to me is very child like and is permanently that way. from just observing her for years and just reading up on her situation i think she’s too f*cked up by fame and there’s no cure for it.
and i hope they aren’t banking on jason on sticking around or taking care of her. they can’t make judgments on letting her go with the hope that he’s going to be there regardless of however long that relationship does or does not last. i remember reading somewhere that her family wasn’t happy with the kfed marriage but they went along with it hoping he could help keep her together after she had been acting out all of 2004 and 2003. and we all know how that turned out. there’s no guarantees there.

I hope they remain friends no matter what. I like him better than any other Guys she’s been associated with. No I don’t think he’s an angel but he has this aura around him that is good for her. I use to wish she gets back with Justin, but now? Hell no. he’s a major fame-whore that only cared for the image of Britney and his Hollywood status to ever truly love that girl. I hope she finds true love one day because I’m not sure she has ever experienced it. Hope Jason is the one. ***HOPE****

I’ll be honest and say I ignored news and pictures about her during a lot of the breakdown. I just couldn’t deal with it. It really did break my heart to see her like that because I knew it wasn’t my Britney. Most people who sugarcoat her breakdown are either too young to know better or aren’t making bank anymore and want her to go out more.
Harvey does like Britney you can tell. He even takes a different tone when he speaks about her. Though I don’t think he knows what she feels or thinks. Nobody knows (not lawyers, no him, no Jordan). I’d love to have her talk about everything one day.
One thing I’ll say about that girl is her spirit. I think she has a good spirit that is why she was able to pull through this far. Often times, I’ve heard people call her Trash or other names; I think people are too caught up on image in Hollywood.There are millions of ordinary people that goes through what she is going through but they do not have the world judging them. I pray she gets well enough to live her life far away from the preying eyes of Hollywood.
I have never been interested in the life of any celebrities because I could careless. However, there is something about that girl that we all can relate to either pain or joy. I just wish people are more willing to love people like her for who they are. I just love that girl and I pray for her as much as I pray for mine. Britney was hospitalize around the time I lost my mom, i think going through that pain made me relate to her in her way.I wish her the best tin life
Exactly how I feel. I could care less about celebs but Britney feels real to me and like a part of my family. I cant explain it.
Hollywood is full of people trying to create an image to better their careers. She is just one person that you know is just trying to live her life the only way she knows how. Imagine how famous she will be if she is really someone that wants fame. I think Britney was not ready for fame. she was just this country girl who love to perform and never really learned how to cope with fame.

OMG, I didnt expect my comment brought chaos here. I just tried to say what I see in Britney Spears, not trying to be negative, that ‘mess’ word was meant to the hair, the same boots and the stains in her shirts she has all the time, but just like all of u, i’m a Britney fan, I love herself and i love her musics. Sorry ya’ll. I just think Britney IS not ready to handle her own life now but she WILL ready for that soon.

Of course 2003 britney is NOT comming back. She’s been trough ALOT, now she knows the bad side of fame. In that time she didn’t knew what she does now. And you can see she has changed. She’s more mature now. Now she’s careful with what she says, cuz she knows the media are loooking for one tiny thing to turn it a HUGE deal. That’s how it works. And now she can’t give up on fame. She has money, fame, she’s beautiful but for some reason those things are bad for her. Idk how to explain it. people want to see her back in top, but they’re waiting for 1 mistake to blow the shit out of her. So, that’s complicated. I’m 16, but sometimes I just feel like her god damn mother. I feel the need to protect her, to help her. It’s unbelievable how much I care for this girl.

There is not a time i think she is ok – my heart was in pain since JT left her – it all went down from then – i want her to do good but i also want her to get a lot of help and do what makes her happy and another tour will be nice so i can go again and see her have fun!!!
Oh now what grown woman with two kids would like having her father having control? Find me one, I’ll give you a cookie. I never ever ever thought Britney would like this, but I think she’s done the grown up, right and smart thing and accepted it. Not as in the “Given up” way the “Free Britney” people push it, but in the “Their helping, this is for the best, even if it really sucks” way.
I remember thinking one day I would wake up and the news would be covering her death, it just seemed like it could easily happen. The way she was driving, the people around her, her own state of mind. I can’t start to think how I’d have felt if I was her parent, or sister or brother.
See, I’d rather have her lose control for a bit and get better then end up like Marilyn Monroe or MJ (I’m 100% sure Janet would have done something like the c-ship if she could have, she tried very very hard to save him) or Elvis. Because she can be a mom to her kids now, she can make music again, she can go out without 50 paps on her. I’m just very happy for her.

I heard that Britney had shaved her head while I was chatting to an online friend on MSN. And we were like “OMG! OMGGGG!!! OMGGGGGGGGG!!!!! She’s gonna kill herself by tomorrow!” We agreed that if either of us had shaved her head, that’s what it would have meant. But when she got over THAT incident, I began to believe that she was stronger than many people suspected.
While a lot of fans on her forums were announcing “She will never make another album”, “She has lost her looks and will never get them back”, I kept piping up with “She’ll be back! Have faith! One good session with a makeup artist and hair stylist and she’ll be looking good again”.
Her fans seem to have more of themselves invested in her than the fans of any other artist. But for many of them, all the desperation, frustration, anxiety and disappointment they’ve suffered expresses itself as cynicism, jaded nostalgia and bitter little sneers. Yet at heart they still love her. At the slightest sign of new music, they’re as excited as anybody.
Obviously there’s frustration again, especially among the BH “Save Britney” school of thought. But I don’t believe “liberating” her would be a good move at this point. She seems too fragile and damaged and emotionally vulnerable to step up and show the world that she can take care of herself. Maybe it’s the effects of the medication… if she is bipolar or suffers from psychotic depression, the meds could make her seem hazy, confused, disorientated, introverted and uncommunicative.
