Whenever celebrities or songwriters talk about Britney Spears in this manner I always have one eye rolling. Keri Hilson recently talked Britney Spears (I know, I know) and while she said Britney was a very sweet girl, she kind of ass backwards complimented her.
On working with Britney on songs: “Britney wasn’t part of the writing process, but she is “a very sweet girl.”
You see that? I saw that. That was one of those passive aggressive compliments which means lots of jealousy over Britney’s massive success lies beneath. Keri Hilson works very hard and she is super talented AND she was never a trainwreck, so it only makes sense that she, and many others in the industry probably harbor deep jealousy for my dollface.
In all fairness, she also said;
“She works very hard and she really knows her role very very very well and I think she is a visual artist,” Keri adds. “The moment she hears a song she is imagining the video and imagining herself onstage which was amazing to me, which I think I’ve seen that very rarely.”
See that again? “she really knows her role very very very well”. In other words, she’s not that fucking great why is she getting all the damned attention.

Idunno poorbritney I always 100% agree with you but, I honestly think the second part was really sweet. and the first may sound bitchy or, it might just be how it sounds and not what she meant. If Britney has tought us anything and would probably have no trouble saying, that a persons respone can be taken the wrong way. Again I don’t know I’m just sayin.

that does sound really back handed in a snyde sort of way. Lots of female artists are jealous of Britney because they feel like she puts out minimal effort and they work their butts off but they are missing the IT factor which cant be made.
Ok I saw this chick on Rachel Ray today, rachel ray a cooking show ummm – who the hell is she? I know she sings but she popped out of no where. Well she did to me. And she is just bringing up Britney just to get in the press and have people talk about her. I can’t stand people like that. She’s just mad Britney is a supa staaaa ! And she feels like she should be… Moron!
