Lily Allen (is that how you spell it, because I’m not checking) said Britney Spears is an effing legend and you cannot compare Lady Gaga to her.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazar Lily Spoke about the competition between the two.
Harper’s Asked: Britney Spears or Lady Gaga?
Lily: “You can’t compare Britney with Lady gaga.”
HB: Why?
“You are putting Lady gaga on the same level as Britney Spears? I really can’t believe it, lady gaga is good but she’s a new artist, Britney Spears is a legend. They’re two different artists, two forms of entertainment, But very different, It’s like compare Dali with Picasso.”
And we agree! Lady Gaga is new, in fact too new to determine her stayability. Britney on the other hand has been a top earner for 10 years while many from her time went by the wayside.

lady gaga is a good singer and performer. but you cant compare someone new and fresh to a living legend.
Brtneys been working hard to get to were she is today and thats why 10 yrs later ppl are still talking about her and she’s still has sold out tours.

Amazing. Lily has it dead on. Gaga IMO is a legend in the making. In 10 years, who is to say how big/iconic she will be. I have faith that she will be huge, she has the publicity machine down to a T, and the fact that she is aware that her fans expect more from here than purely music is totally forward-thinking and will aid her career in a big way.
Britney is a legend. Punto.

IMO, comparing Britney with Lady GaGa is like comparing Britney with Beyonce, which is like comparing the Backstreet Boys with Metallica. Gerenally, you just can’t do it. They’re all in different arenas.
It’s just up to you as to whom you prefer over the other.

i would have 2 agree with lily allen that lady gaga will never be as big as britney and i think no 1 should compare britney 2 lady gaga coz it is true britney is a LEGEND and she will always be a legend 2 no can take that i mean they do say britney is the princess of pop but they can not take that away i mean look mwat brit has been through and she is back 2 the top
