What to expect for album 7

Filed under : BRITNEY NEWS - GOSSIP

I knew it was too good to be true to get an album by March. Pffft!

Anyway, as long as I get 12 great new songs before summer, I will be happy.

Lots of talk has been going around about who will work on Britney’s 7th album, and now it looks like we’ve finally weeded out much of the gossip and have a pretty good feel on whose involved.

Lets just see how many of these songs written/produced for Britney make the cut and appear on the album.

From MTV
If Brit-Brit’s too-brief appearance at the Grammys wasn’t enough to whet your “Toxic” appetite, then get ready to chow down on some new music from Spears this June.

For all those Circus freaks out there, you’ll be stoked to hear that Britney is re-teaming with K. Briscoe, part of The Outsyders production team, who penned Spears’ comeback hit “Womanizer.” Plus, our pop princess is also hooking back up with Corte Ellis from Soul Diggaz, who previously worked with Britney on the songs “Naked” and “Get Back” off Blackout.

Finally, color us flattered that Spears took our advice and decided to collaborate with our fave new French hitmaker DJ David Guetta on new tunes. Ooh, la la!

Briscoe, Ellis and Guetta join a heap of producers who have already been tapped for the project—like Danja, Max Martin, Darkchild, Sean Garrett.

Guess it’s just a matter of time until we hear whose tracks make the final album cut.

I think I know why theyre rushing this album out so soon. With the release of this album, it will complete her Jive Records contract and she will be able to renegotiate or move labels, though I dont think she is in danger of being dropped. Jive would be stupid to let her go. And now that she is the world’s biggest pop star, she can ask for a WHOLE lot of money. 10 years ago she certainly wasnt in the position to negotiate, but now Jive better get their pocket books ready…. :)

Wait. What happened to Russ Castella’s track, Dirty Girl?

  15. K says:

I had hoped for a jazz-themed album but maybe I’m reaching – I still think her voice would go really well with soft ballads and cooing.

But hey, as long as it’s Blackout-ish with less auto tune, I’m a happy camper! Also, are those rumors about this album being the last with Jive true? Would Britney leave them if it were?
